WEDDING, PARTIES, ANYTHING...

The AMERICAN ROGUES regularly perform two different yet effective types of shows: electric and acoustic. They have rocked out on fully amplified stages in front of thousands of screaming, semi-naked fans, and they have performed elegant unplugged sets for small groups.  The band has appeared at numerous wedding ceremonies, funerals, and corporate events. The stately sound of the pipes and drums add a sense of class and refinement to any occasion and up to eight musicians dressed in full Scottish dress regalia can perform.  Moreover, for our acoustic shows you can stick us wherever you want -- a kitchen, garage, tool-shed, doom-bunker -- we don't take up a lot of space and we don't make a lot of demands.

The AMERICAN ROGUES have also performed at many wedding receptions/cocktail hours and private functions -- their leader even appeared at a movie premiere with Oscar-winner, Robert Duvall.  They are available to make your reception, New Year's Eve/Hogmanay or Robbie Burns Party, sporting event, pharmaceutical convention, birthday, movie premiere, bar mitzvah, divorce party, inaugural ball, store opening, baby birth/conception, toga party, graduation, briss, retirement party, homecoming, debutante ball, etc. both fun and memorable.

The AMERICAN ROGUES continue to show their support of members of the military.  The AR family includes former members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Military Police, and the Canadian Armed Forces.  They volunteer for the Honor Flight Program for WWII and Korean War Vets, the've performed at various U.S. and Canadian bases around the world, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the Annapolis Naval Academy, and for the Vietnam War Memorial (Movable Wall Project), and they've helped raise thousands of dollars for individual Veterans, the U.S. Air Force Aid Society, the Warrior Alliance, Homes for Our Troops, the Wounded Warrior Project, and Operation Ward 57 at Walter Reed National Medical Center (AR frontman, Nelson Stewart, and AR business manager, Lisa Heeter, both sit on the board of directors).  The band also regularly works with the Navy SEALs and have a standing invitation to perform for them at their annual Muster in Ft. Pierce, Florida, where they have become the official band of the National Navy SEAL Museum.  Nelson's passion for supporting Veterans led him to start the band's series of Veterans' fundraisers called DEAKSTOCK in 2007.  The AMERICAN ROGUES are always searching for ways to support Veterans so if you have any ideas please contact them.

I'm a retired US Navy Deep Sea Diver who grew up in Scotland in Kinlochard (Stirling area). I left Scotland at age of 18 and because my dad was a US citizen, I joined the US Navy. My mother was born and raised in Glasgow Scotland and most of my family is still in Scotland. My tartan is Royal Stewart, which I wear frequently in San Diego, CA. I ride a Kawasaki Nomad 1700 cruiser and at Halloween went partying on the motorcycle in my Kilt. Freeway ride was fun and I even had a young lassie take a picture or two on the freeway (of course I had to stand up for the lassie to get a full shot of the kilt, lol). Anyway my best friend 'LT USN Ann Sledge' is in Japan on vacation for two weeks (she is a Lieutenant in the US Navy and she let me know she was going to the concert tomorrow evening in Japan to watch the 'The Rogues' play. She indicated she would try and get a picture with the band at the concert. I was really hoping - from one clansman to another - that the band might say something to Ann during the concert and perhaps have her either come up to the stage for a photo op or maybe allow her backstage after the concert. Ann is with her best friend Mike who is a Lieutenant Commander stationed at the US base where the concert is being held. The msg I wanted passed along is: 'US NAVY DIVER (RETIRED), Logistic Management Specialist, Derek Iltis at SWRMC San Diego sends his love to his best friend Ann Sledge, and says HELLO Mike. Mike I hope we get to meet each other someday when and if you get over to San Diego. Derek Iltis USN/DV (Ret.), DML, CMP Logistical Management Specialist C512S, FLC Bldg 76, NAVSTA San Diego, CA 619-250-0189 Cell P.S. If you ever make it to San Diego CA the first round is on me!
