FORMERLY THE AMERICAN ROGUES

THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE, formally known as the First Special Service Force, was a highly decorated Canadian/American commando unit in WWII. Their legendary heroism struck fear into the hearts of Nazis and their legacy can be traced directly to the Canadian Special Operations Regiment and Green Berets.  The American Rogues have long supported Veterans and by becoming THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE we seek to not only honour those who serve but also reflect our own Canadian/American identity.

NEW SINGLE RELEASE: "SKYE BOAT SONG (OUTLANDER THEME)"

Engineered and mixed in Hamilton by American Rogue, Nicki Nero, "Skye Boat Song (Outlander Theme)" features lyrics from both the TV show and the original song, sung by our very own Jeania Stewart.  It can currently be purchased as a download on the LISTEN/BUY page of this site.  We are releasing this song today, Aug. 29, 2015, to honour our dear friend, Chuck Bloom, as it is the day of his memorial service. Chuck was a steadfast supporter of the band and wrote a number of wonderful articles about us. On a personal level Nelson and Jeania had become quite close to Chuck over the years and we will miss his warmth, intelligence, and sense of humour. We’ll never forget you, Chuck.

WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL, QUEBEC

Our 3rd year in a row at the World Music Festival in Sherbrooke, Quebec saw us headlining opening night for thousands of people in an arena.  We also made the front cover of a French newspaper!  Next year will be our 7th year in a row!  Quel festival fantastique!

"HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS" EVENT

We are proud to be part of an event in Middleborough, MA to help raise funds for "Homes for our Troops", an organization that has helped to build nearly 200 homes for disabled Veterans.  We've already been asked to return next year!

TORONTO ST. PADDY'S PARADE WITH 300 FIREFIGHTERS

We're very proud to announce that we will be joining 300 firefighters in the Toronto St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 15.  We'll be playing on top of a vintage fire truck, just as we did a few years ago when we paraded down the Strip while we were in Las Vegas for our St. Paddy's show at the Monte Carlo. This is going to be awesome!

ONGOING SHOWS FOR U.S. NAVY SEALS

As part of our ongoing effort to support the troops, which has seen shows at bases in Japan, Guam, Italy, Spain, and Guantanamo Bay, the American Rogues are very proud to have performed at the NATIONAL NAVY UDT-SEAL MUSEUM in Ft. Pierce, Florida on Veteran's Day 2013, 2014, and 2015.  The next morning we also performed for the Ash Swim Out Ceremony where lost SEALs are honored.  It is a great honor for the band to have appeared before such distinguished men and their families.  Pictured above is the Ash Swim Out and below is the paddle presented to the band by Navy SEAL Museum director, Rick Kaiser.

CELTIC PINK RIBBON ALBUM

We are very proud to be part of CELTIC PINK RIBBON VOLUME III, to be released February 24.  Produced by Debbi Shaffer as a fundraiser for breast cancer research and awareness, the first CDs raised over $100,000.  Volume III is a 2-disc CD with over two hours of music from 33 of today's hottest Celtic artists.  Celtic Pink Ribbon III is available for a $25 donation to breast cancer research & awareness.  We'll also be selling them at our shows this year, as we have in the past.  Several members of the band, as well as our fans and friends, have watched loved ones battle cancer, so we hope you will support this great cause.  www.celticpinkribbon.com

ANOTHER GREAT REVIEW OF "LIVE IN WASHINGTON"

Another great review of our new album, "Live in Washington" just came out. This one is courtesy of our friend, Chuck Bloom, who is editor at Ceili Magazine. Chuck writes, "Every American Rogues show is a blend of fun and great Celtic sounds. But Stewart and mates knew this was an extraordinary opportunity to display their energy, craftsmanship and joy, while expressing support for an important cause and for cherished men and women." Thanks, Chuck!  READ MORE

IRISH ECHO NEWSPAPER

The Irish Echo, the oldest Irish American newspaper, just ran a great article about us that included a very positive review of our new album, "Live in Washington".   In the article Colleen Taylor writes, ""The American Rogues know how to command a massive stage and animate a crowd with the sounds of fiddles, pipes, and an impressive miscellany of instruments and styles." CLICK HERE
